About the role
- AI Solution Engineer focusing on AI/ML and data execution within platform engineering for federal agencies. Collaborating with a Solution Architect on sprint-based platform releases.
Responsibilities
- Integrate AI/ML models into the Command Center platform via APIs, graph database layers, and automated pipelines
- Develop and maintain data ingestion automation for new data sources directed by the Government
- Build analytics features and data processing modules per platform architecture standards
- Participate in sprint-based development cycles with code review, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment pipeline requirements
- Support interoperability interface development and documentation
- Maintain code quality, test coverage, and deployment documentation per platform standards
- Collaborate with the operations branch AI engineer on shared data pipeline components
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, or analytics platform development
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one additional back-end language (Java, Scala, or Go); experience with data pipeline frameworks and relational/cloud data platforms (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or equivalent)
- Experience integrating ML models into production platforms and APIs
- Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms, REST APIs, graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or equivalent), and data visualization tools
- Experience in sprint-based development environments with code review, version control (Git), and DevOps-oriented release processes
- Demonstrated DevOps practices: CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing/deployment workflows
- Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Must be currently located in Huntsville, AL or the Washington, DC Metro area
