About the role
- Security Assurance Specialist coordinating security assessments within cybersecurity risk management at Vanguard. Ensuring effective risk and vulnerability management across applications and infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end coordination and execution of security risk assessments
- Manage assessment intake, prioritization, scheduling, documentation, execution tracking, reporting, and vulnerability workflow oversight
- Coordinate and lead comprehensive security assessments and validate risk findings
- Partner with application teams and infrastructure owners for pre‑assessment information and documentation
- Ensure accurate and timely tracking of assessment activities and publish assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk management, GRC, or security assessment coordination roles
- Demonstrated experience coordinating application and/or infrastructure security assessments in large, regulated, or complex environments
- Hands‑on experience with GRC platforms, preferably RSA Archer, including assessment tracking, findings management, and workflow
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk concepts, vulnerabilities, and control assessment practices
