Responsibilities
Act as the technical solution partner for Sales, supporting daily sales activities with strong technical expertise.
Work closely with Operations, R&D, and Sales to design the technical architecture of customer solutions.
Build customer value propositions, ensuring solutions deliver measurable benefits while remaining cost-aware.
Manage the automation offering and provide technical expertise for industry-specific solution road-maps (e.g. biorefineries, chemicals, PtoX & gases, water & waste water).
Generate sales and marketing materials and customer reference stories together with marketing team.
Participate in customer meetings, exhibitions, and technical discussions, often being on the customer frontline.
Contribute to global business development, supporting opportunities across Europe and beyond.
Ensure the solution design aligns with project delivery capabilities and EPC environments.
Requirements
5–8 years of experience in automation, process industries, or related technical solution roles e.g in industry or in EPC.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.
Strong technical foundation in automation and functional safety systems (Valmet DNA experience as benefit).
Knowledge of industrial processes e.g chemical and refining processes is beneficial.
Experience working with EPC environments or large industrial projects (both greenfield and retrofits) is beneficial.
A technical mindset combined with commercial awareness, able to translate technology into customer value.
Understanding of global business environments, ideally with experience working internationally or in multicultural contexts.
Willingness to travel regularly (typically 1–2 planned trips per month) for customer meetings, trainings, exhibitions, and industry events, mainly within Europe but occasionally globally.
