About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic communications for the USGBC executive office supporting the CEO and departmental leaders
- Serve as the principal writer and messaging strategist for presentations, speeches, and articles
- Collaborate with the social media manager to enhance the digital profile of organizational leaders
- Develop and implement executive communications strategies aligned with USGBC goals
- Conduct research to inform executive communications and maintain brand consistency
- Interface with senior organizational leaders and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in executive communications in a corporate/organizational environment
- Building industry or corporate sustainability experience, preferably in a product-centric organization
- Technical competency and experience developing issues-driven campaigns
- Demonstrated experience as an executive speech writer developing narratives/messaging for the CEO or CSO
- Ability to synthesize complex information and produce clear and compelling narratives
- Experience developing and executing strategic communications plans
- Solid understanding of key drivers in the green building sector
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high-quality work
