About the role
- Claims Adjuster role focused on investigating insurance claims and negotiating settlements. Involves gathering information and determining liability in claims for individuals and businesses.
Responsibilities
- Investigate all types of personal and commercial insurance claims
- Assess damages and negotiate claim settlements on behalf of insurance companies or self-insured entities
- Obtain statements from policyholders and/or witnesses/third parties by interviewing them with tact and diligence
- Investigate the facts and circumstances to determine the cause and liability of the loss
- Negotiate a fair and satisfactory settlement for all parties involved
- Support business development by meeting regularly with existing clients
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with established work standards, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- Valid AMF claims adjuster license – Category 5A
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in claims settlement
- Valid driver's license
