About the role
- Underwriter for medical insurance at UNIQA supporting insurance risk assessment and providing medical services. Collaborating within expert teams to enhance quality assurance in medical evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Insurance medical risk assessment and claims as well as pre-contractual assessments at an expert level
- Collaboration with risk assessors (in teams) to provide support and ensure quality assurance
- Qualitative medical risk assessment conducted via telephone interviews
- Telephone-based medical consultation for our customers (explanation and research of specialized treatment methods, interpretation of medical findings)
- Organizational services as part of contractual assistance services (e.g., medical second opinions, recommendations regarding GDA)
Requirements
- Completed medical degree (preferably including ius practicandi / licence to practice)
- Strong interest in insurance medicine
- Basic knowledge of the personal insurance business is an advantage
- Prior experience in assessing medical risks for health insurance underwriting is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and other computer applications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Results-oriented work style and good self-management
