About the role

  • Oversee the implementation of sexual abuse prevention compliance standards for Urban Strategies. Manage team training and ensure regulatory adherence within the shelter environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation and ongoing compliance with the Interim Final Rule (IFR) on preventing, detecting, and responding to sexual abuse and sexual harassment.
  • Actively promote a culture of safety, proactive risk management, program excellence, and ongoing regulatory readiness.
  • Lead quality improvement activities.
  • Work closely with the site director and PO team to create written policies and procedures that provide a safe, structured, and productive environment that meets federal and state guidelines.
  • Ensure that all members of the team are actively functioning in accordance with the standards.
  • Liaise with ORR’s PSA Coordinator, and the designated FFS, and the designated PO to implement the IFR within 6 months of the shelter facility opening.
  • Serve as the point of contact for ORR’s PSA Coordinator regarding matters related to the IFR standards.
  • Respond to all ORR and PSA Coordinator requests.
  • Be accountable for compliance issues at the UC Care Provider facility.
  • Compile Data and Create Reports as necessary.
  • Create effective communication for staff and children on PSA safety guidelines, including training, webinars, and written notices.
  • Maintain all records for audit purposes.
  • Travel with UAC (14 and under) to various locations in the United States upon request.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social service fields.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, and compliance issues.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, Cultural Awareness, Conflict Management, Time Management.
  • Technical: Sexual Abuse Prevention, Safety.
  • Organizational: Leadership, Teamwork, Community Approach.
  • Preferred: Bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Criminal Background check.
  • National Sex Offenders Check.
  • TB Test.
  • ORR pre-hire approval required.
