About the role
- Tax attorney at Grupo UOL working on federal, state, and municipal tax cases. Managing judicial and administrative tax litigation with internal departments support.
Responsibilities
- Handle federal, state and municipal tax litigation for all companies within Grupo UOL.
- Monitor judicial and administrative tax proceedings.
- Provide support during tax audits, responses to notifications and summons, and procedural orders, etc.
- Prepare contingency reports to support internal areas (controllership, compliance, SOX, among others).
- Manage relationships with external law firms that provide services.
- Provide support to business and back-office areas (controllership, finance, HR, etc.).
- Perform other related activities to ensure the delivery and excellence of the services provided as a whole.
Requirements
- Law degree (completed).
- Experience in managing cases and contingency controls.
- Experience in tax litigation at all levels: federal, state and municipal.
- Knowledge of obtaining tax clearance certificates.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel).
- Familiarity with the "Lei do Bem" (Brazilian R&D tax incentive law).
- Experience in tax litigation within large corporations.
- Accounting knowledge.
- Advanced English.
