About the role

  • Account Manager responsible for strategies to drive growth at Univar Solutions. Building relationships in the mining sector and identifying sales opportunities in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the mining sector and develop new business opportunities.
  • Expand Univar Solutions’ presence by prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Understand technical and regulatory issues that influence purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate prospecting, service, and follow-up activities with internal teams.
  • Participate in industry events to enhance the company’s visibility.
  • Conduct client visits, negotiate contracts, and close profitable agreements.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within your territory.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to commercial strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for account management.
  • Represent Univar Solutions professionally.
  • Update the opportunity pipeline and customer information in Salesforce.
  • Fulfill weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Present customer demand forecasts to product managers.
  • Keep product knowledge up to date and monitor portfolio developments.
  • Stay informed of any changes or updates to the portfolio.
  • Remain aware of ongoing market developments.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

  • A university degree and a minimum of two (2) years of proven professional experience as an Account Manager are required.
  • Sales experience in the industrial sector would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong passion for building relationships with clients and internal and external suppliers.
  • Ability to present to and influence key partners.
  • Proficiency with common computer tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is considered an asset.
  • Must be bilingual (French and English).
