About the role

  • Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision
  • Oversee Canadian tax compliance process
  • Responsible for monthly tax reconciliation and instalment process
  • Manage federal and provincial tax audits
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and company policies for tax related matters
  • Research and advise on Canadian tax matters
  • Monitor and stay up to date on tax legislative and administrative updates
  • Create and optimize complex financial models using excel and tax software
  • Participate in ad hoc projects including tax due diligence and integration
  • Assist with indirect or international tax projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Professional accounting designation or Master’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent analytical, financial accounting, and tax research skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP or other reporting tools
  • Experience with indirect tax preferred
