About the role
- Analyzing and controlling accounting operations for Unimed Nacional, supporting financial reports and compliance with regulations. Working in a hybrid model from São Paulo, Brazil.
Responsibilities
- Perform accounting activities under guidance, in accordance with accounting principles, standards and applicable legislation, supporting the monthly close through appropriate account reconciliations of accounts payable, loans, judicial attachments, PPSC, financial investments, contingencies and fixed assets, ensuring they are compliant with current legislation and the company’s control system.
- Adhere to accounting principles and standards within established deadlines, ensuring the integrity of accounting records and the accuracy and quality of information.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly trial balances by gathering and providing information, and support management and other departments regarding the company’s financial figures and ratios.
- Support external audits by preparing reports and addressing possible queries, working under supervision.
- Assist in preparing documents such as DIOPS (Periodic Information Document for Health Plan Operators), consolidating information and submitting it to ANS (National Supplementary Health Agency) as well as to External Audit for validation, with the aim of obtaining the audit opinion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience in accounting
- Experience in the supplementary health sector is a plus
