About the role

• Senior Software Engineer scaling Unify's AI platform to support hyper growth. Collaborating with founders and mentoring engineers while driving technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Unify can scale to support our hyper growth and provide a stable platform for large scale customers such as Cursor, Perplexity and Decagon
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and GTM stakeholders to translate ambiguous business goals into a clear, phased engineering plan.
• Establish coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategy, reliability targets, and observability practices that future teams will inherit.
• Rapidly prototype with third-party APIs, databases, model-serving platforms, and infra vendors to accelerate customer value.
• Provide technical leadership for (and — if you’re up for it — manage) engineers across domains—pairing, reviewing, and unblocking as you go.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software-engineering experience
• Deep, hands-on expertise scaling and operating PostgreSQL—designing partitioned/sharded schemas, tuning indexes and queries, automating backups and observability, and running resilient multi-TB clusters with replication and failover.
• Proven track record of shipping high-impact, production-grade systems at scale. Passion for customers: you prototype quickly, iterate on feedback, and sweat the edge-cases that matter.
• Collaborative, low-ego attitude with a history of mentoring engineers and leveling up the people around you.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, continuously grow, and master your craft
