Responsibilities
Implement digital strategies for Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn.
Review and field all social media comments on a regular basis.
Create toolkits to support planned national events, initiatives and programs.
Provide ongoing local UNCF office social media guidance.
Pull and report out on analytics and monitor hashtags.
Continually add social media influencers to our database.
Lead Ad management/boosting strategies and reports.
Support VP and Director of Communications.
Provide administrative and social media support.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Journalism, Marketing, or public relations preferred or related discipline from four-year college or university and 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media (provide links to related work as examples).
Proficient in content marketing theory and application; experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side; able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective users (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed to support UNCF’s needs.
Maintains excellent writing and communications skills; displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal formats.
Has evident technical understanding and can learn new tools quickly.
Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research; highly knowledgeable in the principles of “search and social”.
Possesses functional knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Cision, Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Constant Contact (all are preferred, but other similar programs or systems can suffice if nominee can learn on the job).
