About the role

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the configuration of tax rules, layouts, tables, parameters and integrations (NF‑e, CT‑e, NFS‑e, SPED), including consideration of the scope of the consumption tax reform.
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of tax master data within the project context: NCM, CEST, CST/CSOSN, cClassTrib, exceptions for tax incentives and base/rate parameters.
  • Define and validate governance rules and internal controls applicable to tax processes in the new SAP environment and tax solutions.
  • Specify and validate tax rules and tax determination (pricing conditions, tax codes, account determination, J1BTAX) together with the FI/MM/SD functional teams.
  • Serve as a tax technical reference in the definition of the blueprint, functional design and solution validation.
  • Actively participate in the implementation and integration of tax solutions into SAP, providing tax requirements and validating parameterization.
  • Support the technical team in diagnosing and resolving incidents, validating logs, integration analysis and validations.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, scope definition, process mapping and identification of tax gaps.
  • Contribute to the project’s tax documentation (processes, manuals, exception flows and risk/impact matrix).
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, automation and simplification of configured tax processes and rules.
  • Prepare evidence, training materials and support end-user training sessions.
  • Act as a bridge between the tax area, IT, consultancies, tax solution providers and business teams (procurement, sales, logistics).
  • Ensure tax requirements are correctly translated into functional and technical rules.
  • Actively participate in project committees, ceremonies, dependency alignments and risk discussions.
  • Execute and document integrated tests (SIT) and user acceptance tests (UAT), covering scenarios such as: procurement (MM), tax receipt (MIGO/MIRO), sales and billing (SD), generation/validation of electronic tax documents, accounting impacts (FI), messaging and interfaces (DRC and other tools).

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related fields
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years in tax roles at medium/large companies or consultancies, and experience acting as an SAP key user (FI, MM and SD modules) in implementations and version migrations.
  • Strong knowledge of ICMS/ICMS‑ST, IPI, PIS/COFINS, EFD‑ICMS/IPI and EFD‑Contributions, technical notes and state/municipal tax legislation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
