About the role
- Paralegal II supporting compliance for UNITE HERE HEALTH by reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance. Analyzing agreements, resolving issues, and supporting diversity principles in workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and analyzes collective bargaining agreements for compliance as established by organization
- Communicates information regarding complex issues with both internal staff and external customers
- Identifies, understands, and assists in resolving contract issues affecting employee’s health coverage
- Coordinates with Fund departments to ensure contracts can be administered effectively
- Knowledgeable about all assigned plan units and their nuances
- Prepares/analyzes reports from database and from other sources as requested by Counsel
- Researches and writes for attorneys
- Drafts memoranda, letters, addenda, and extracts
- Research new legislation
- Performs special projects and maintains historical documents and practices

Requirements
- 2 ~ 4 years of related experience
- minimum Associate's degree required
- Certification in Paralegal Studies, preferred
- Expert level with contract review, interpretation and drafting
- Experience with labor relations contract review, preferred
- Proficient ability to work on and resolve contract disputes, strongly preferred
- Working knowledge and experience in employee benefits, preferred
