About the role

• Rechtsanwalt advising clients on Patent Law and participating in international litigation. Join Bird & Bird and work on significant international patent disputes.

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel to national and international clients in patent litigation.
• Advise on all matters of patent law.
• Support clients in large, international patent disputes on both the plaintiff and defendant sides before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and German courts.
• Work in a team with patent attorneys and take responsibility for your own subprojects.
• Gather and examine evidence of patent infringement, analyze potential non-infringement arguments, and draft complaints and responses.

Requirements

• You hold two state examinations (Staatsexamina) with above-average results and ideally have international study experience.
• You have initial/relevant professional experience in patent law or a comparable position.
• Excellent German and English skills and professional, persuasive communication are among your strengths.
• You are interested in technical and commercial matters and enjoy finding creative solutions for clients.
