About the role

  • Lead sourcing strategy and vendor allocation across Greater China and Asia (including Vietnam, Cambodia, India, and other regions).
  • Oversee all costing processes from first quote through landed cost, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and margin discipline.
  • Partner closely with the Production team to strengthen vendor relationships, align cost negotiations, and drive on-time delivery performance.
  • Build and implement standardized systems for tracking cost performance, lead-time, and vendor scorecards.
  • Negotiate cost structures and optimize supplier mix to balance value, quality, and speed.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to translate creative briefs into actionable sourcing and production plans that meet cost, design, and timing objectives.
  • Ensure seamless handoff from concept to production—bridging design, development, and sourcing teams.
  • Lead, coach, and expand a high-performing Asia-based team (~15 today, with growth planned in development and technical roles).

Requirements

  • 15+ years of leadership in sourcing, development, or manufacturing within consumer or promotional products.
  • Proven success managing Asia-based teams and multi-country vendor networks.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation expertise.
  • Experience with Li & Fung, Fung Group, Global Brands Group, or similar organizations strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to Target, Costco, or major U.S./E.U. retailers preferred.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin or Cantonese a plus.
