About the role
- Software Engineer III developing Pega applications for Truist. Leading complex projects while collaborating with product owners and team members on technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technically complex solutions.
- Perform system integration support for all project work.
- Consult and partner with the business product owners to understand the end goal and offer solutions and recommendations during the design.
- Develop customized Pega coding, software integration, perform analysis, configure solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Pega applications using Pega Rules Process Commander(PRPC) and related Pega products.
- Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions.
- Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production.
- Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring.
- Typically lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger initiatives.
- Solve complex technical and operational problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
- In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
- Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) required; Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL (such as SQL Server or Postgres)
- Advanced knowledge of API integration(REST/SOAP) from Pega applications.
- Experience with CICD tools such as Azure Dev Ops and/or gitlab.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with common Distributed Platforms(.NET and Java), Mainframe applications, web applications.
- Experience with Kafka messaging systems.
- Experience with Openshift or Kubernetes Container Platform.
- Experience with Pega cloud and migrating Applications from OnPrem to Pega Cloud
