Consultant responsible for Wellness Center operations and support for health initiatives at Travelers. Overseeing daily activities and member engagement through wellness programming.
Responsibilities
On-Site Wellness Center Operations: Oversee daily on-site Wellness Center operations, including opening and closing shift coverage, gym floor supervision, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all members.
Deliver high-quality member experiences by leading new member onboarding, including facility tours and system enrollment, and serving as a knowledgeable, approachable point of contact for member needs.
Instruct a few group exercise classes per week and maintain personal training clients, providing high-quality, individualized fitness instruction and programming.
Develop promotional and event materials for the Wellness Center, providing creative and design support to drive member engagement and awareness of available programs and services.
Health and Wellness Programs Support: Serve as the primary owner of the enterprise-wide Wellness Champion network, by overseeing program activities including annual recruiting and planning, monthly newsletters and office hours, quarterly all-champion calls and events, and ongoing budget reconciliation and metric tracking.
Assist in the planning, coordinating, and execution of corporate wellness initiatives such as onsite Fidelity events and flu clinics, securing locations, developing and routing communications for approval, training site leads, and resolving any day-of issues.
Support the Wellness Incentive program from end-to-end, including identifying and notifying winners, purchasing prizes, and ensuring proper tax handling in accordance with company guidelines.
Collaborate with management in developing wellness communications and educational content that supports monthly health themes, such as Mental Health Awareness, Nutrition, Financial Wellness, and Self-Care.
Maintain and report on wellness program metrics by collecting and updating data from multiple vendors on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s and/or associate degree or equivalent.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Previous experience teaching group exercise classes and/or maintaining a personal training client base.
Able to work onsite and assist the staff by working opening and closing shifts.
Ability to work well independently and in teams, and manage multiple responsibilities needed.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Competency in prescribing and completing exercise testing.
CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
