Responsibilities
Design and deliver integrated media and communications strategies to support our priority brand and influencing objectives, such as a campaign to prevent fossil fuel interests from blocking ambitious climate action.
Work as part of the press team to manage requests, identify reactive opportunities, brief spokespeople, and contribute to daily and monthly coverage summaries.
Use framing techniques and insights to develop powerful messaging to support our campaigns.
Collaborate with digital colleagues to produce online copy, articles, social media and email content.
Be a brand champion, guiding policy and research colleagues through the publications process, ensuring freelance editors and designers are effectively briefed and content is brand aligned.
Build relationships with colleagues across the Transparency International movement, identifying opportunities to collaborate to drive impact, and delivering training on best practice communications.
Contribute to broader communications strategy and the effective operation of the Communications function by supporting on other tasks as required.
Requirements
At least 5 years of practical experience developing and delivering strategic media and communications activity to support organisational goals, ideally within a campaigning context.
Knowledge of political, economic, climate or human rights issues is desirable.
Experience in media relations and working in a press office.
Degree and/or professional qualification in communications, social science, journalism, economics, or another relevant field.
Excellent writing and editing skills in English, to native speaker standard, and ability to turn complex issues into accessible language and persuasive messages.
Strong organisational skills and ability to effectively manage priorities and competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent collaborator, able to work effectively and sensitively as part of an international team.
