About the role

  • Senior Digital Product Manager leading product vision and roadmap for Transamerica. Collaborating with stakeholders to optimize product strategies and execution in agile teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and senior/executive management to define and establish the digital product vision and roadmap.
  • Drive the strategic and customer-centric focus in collaboration with Product Owners.
  • Provide leadership and direction to delivery teams through building a strong and positive culture.
  • Ensure products supported by delivery teams optimize the ROI in support of strategic business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across the organization and with other key delivery leaders.
  • Research and evaluate market-based and customer-inspired insights that inform the product's vision.
  • Help the team make business trade-offs between near term and long term product goals.
  • Establish and prioritize the product roadmap and its backlog in collaboration with the team.
  • Collaborate proactively in ceremonies with UI/UX team, product scrum team, and other product owners.
  • Provide direction to POs as they lead regular backlog refinement workshops.
  • Ensure product aligns with company strategy and broader product strategies through regular communication.
  • Coordinate with the POs and Scrum Masters to facilitate short feedback loops between delivery teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead product release planning with technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or equivalent work in a related field
  • Eight years of experience with digital experience and/or relevant industries such as insurance, retirement, or financial services
  • Five years of experience as a product manager, product owner, business analyst, or a related role
  • Second level Product Owner / Product Manager certification (e.g. CSPOII, SAFe POPM)
  • Expert knowledge of agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience with JIRA, or similar agile product management toolset
  • Experience establishing and executing a product vision and roadmap across several teams/domains
  • In-depth experience with agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up to date on industry standards and best practices
  • Solid understanding of the product lifecycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and highly organized, with precise attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business analysts, UI/UX team, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of software development
