About the role

  • Partner Development Manager at TomTom leading sourcing for Japan market. Managing the full sourcing lifecycle and collaborating with OEM technical teams and data providers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing for Japan market, focusing on Japan OEMs, Sensor-Derived Observations (SDO), Probe data, and next-generation mapping data domains
  • Manage full sourcing lifecycle: ecosystem research, supplier identification & qualification, data sample review, commercial negotiations, contracting, and long-term supplier relationship management
  • Support broader APAC sourcing activities across multiple domains, including logistics, EV data, POIs, and other mapping-related datasets
  • Develop and execute supplier strategies aligned with market trends, OEM needs, and APAC regional developments
  • Evaluate and manage existing suppliers, ensuring technical quality, reliability, and exploring opportunities for expanded collaboration
  • Hands-on review of technical data (SDO, Probe, image data), using GIS tools, scripts, or simple data pipelines
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and successful partnerships
  • Engage with high-level external stakeholders, including OEM technical teams and data providers

Requirements

  • 4–7 years in procurement, sourcing, business development, or technical project management
  • Strong knowledge of Fleet Sensor Data, ADAS, AI/perception software, and digital mapping, with experience in automotive industry, ideally Japan OEMs
  • Hands-on experience with technical data review, GIS tools, and basic scripting (Python or similar)
  • Proven negotiation, contracting, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; comfortable in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable team player
