About the role

Responsibilities

  • Join TKDA as a Traffic Engineer (5 - 10 Years Experience) and shape the future of urban mobility.
  • Work alongside a group of engineers, designers, and technicians who have established a reputation for generating safe and efficient designs.
  • Responsible for observing and collecting traffic data, performing intersection evaluations, completing traffic and corridor studies, and conducting analyses using simulation and modeling software.
  • Prepare preliminary and final designs and develop construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to enhance safety and efficiency within transportation infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of related experience.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Experience or interest in projects related to design and/or plan development for roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting.
  • Strong working knowledge and previous experience with CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to write descriptive and technically accurate specifications and reports; Ability to participate in or lead project team meetings and client consultations.
