Responsibilities
Join TKDA as a Traffic Engineer (5 - 10 Years Experience) and shape the future of urban mobility.
Work alongside a group of engineers, designers, and technicians who have established a reputation for generating safe and efficient designs.
Responsible for observing and collecting traffic data, performing intersection evaluations, completing traffic and corridor studies, and conducting analyses using simulation and modeling software.
Prepare preliminary and final designs and develop construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping.
Collaborate with internal team members to enhance safety and efficiency within transportation infrastructure.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
A minimum of 5 to 8 years of related experience.
Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
Experience or interest in projects related to design and/or plan development for roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting.
Strong working knowledge and previous experience with CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to write descriptive and technically accurate specifications and reports; Ability to participate in or lead project team meetings and client consultations.
