About the role
- Electrical Systems Project Engineer providing technical support for installations globally at SRT Marine Systems. Ensuring compliance and optimizing performance of various electrical systems during projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person and remote support to field installation teams and subcontractors
- Create, review, and check electrical installation schematics and plans
- Physically oversee and/or undertake installations with a 'hands-on' approach
- Train and coach field engineering teams to ensure high quality and consistent workmanship
- Help build and maintain standard work procedures and standards
- Review equipment installations, identify issues, and propose/rectify remedial work
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Document installation procedures and generate detailed reports for project stakeholders
- Help devise and define long-term maintenance programs for optimal system operation
Requirements
- Time served apprenticeship or QBE with holding a minimum 17th Edition
- Proven experience in electrical installations – for example integrated CCTV and building monitoring systems, building power systems and or communication towers
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety regulations, and networking fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, server rack layouts, and technical drawings, schematics, standards and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Appreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and ability to communicate well with overseas colleagues
- The role encompasses both our MDA System and the physical building electrical infrastructure.
