About the role
- Electrical Systems Project Engineer at SRT Marine Systems supporting field installation teams and overseeing electrical installations. Involved in creating schematics, training teams, and ensuring compliance with standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person and remote support to field installation teams and subcontractors
- Create, review and check electrical installation schematics and plans for various equipment
- Physically oversee and or undertake installations with a hands-on approach
- Train and coach field engineering teams for high quality workmanship
- Help build and maintain standard work procedures and standards
- Review equipment installations, identify issues and propose/rectify remedial work
- Ensure all installations comply with technical standards, safety protocols, and project specifications
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance for optimal performance
- Document installation procedures and generate detailed reports for stakeholders
- Help define long term maintenance programs for optimal system reliability
Requirements
- Time served apprenticeship or QBE with holding a minimum 17th Edition
- Proven experience in electrical installations – for example integrated CCTV and building monitoring systems, building power systems and or communication towers
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety regulations, and networking fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, server rack layouts, and technical drawings, schematics, standards and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Appreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and ability to communicate well with overseas colleagues
