About the role
- Electrical Systems Project Engineer providing in-person and remote support for global marine projects. Creating and reviewing electrical installation schematics and plans for diverse equipment.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve proposed electrical installation configurations for a variety of equipment
- Physically oversee and or undertake installations with a “hands-on” approach
- Train and coach field engineering teams to ensure high quality and consistent workmanship
- Help build and maintain standard work procedures and standards
- Review equipment installations, identify issues and propose / rectify remedial work
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all integrated systems
- Generate detailed reports for project stakeholders
Requirements
- Time served apprenticeship or QBE with holding a minimum 17th Edition
- Proven experience in electrical installations
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety regulations, and networking fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, server rack layouts, and technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Appreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and ability to communicate well with overseas colleagues
