About the role
- Financial Controller for regulated and unregulated services at TIM, handling invoicing, accounts receivable, and contracts. Ensuring compliance with financial audits and internal controls in the telecom sector.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the financial control of regulated and unregulated services, both domestic and international, as well as operational activities for billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections.
- Perform billing processes for services provided to Wholesale areas (Domestic and International Services), IoT and 5G, VAS providers and Strategic Partnerships;
- Post revenue and expenses in SAP;
- Monitor contracts with the clearing house;
- Analyze Accounts Receivable / Credit positions and balances of accounting accounts;
- Reconcile bank transit account statements with accounts receivable;
- Review and validate contracts (CLM/Ariba and others) and assess contractual/negotiation risks and opportunities;
- Calculate, verify and record the accounting closure of disputes;
- Reconcile the Accounts Receivable position;
- Monitor Accounts Payable execution;
- Perform collection of outstanding amounts;
- Prepare projections and analyze variances (actual vs. forecast) of the Cash Flow;
- Reconcile and settle account nettings/offsets;
- Generate accounts receivable aging, apply criteria and send to business areas - Provision for Doubtful Accounts (PECLD);
- Register new carriers/operators;
- Manage the financial control of the contract with Telecom Italia (brand fee and consultancy);
- Participate in UATs to support system improvements;
- Execute internal controls over activities performed, according to the designs defined for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) certification;
- Manage contracts under the area’s responsibility;
- Respond to audit requests, whether internal or external.
Requirements
- Experience with SAP modules: SAP FI, SAP MM and SAP SD;
- Experience producing reports and presentations;
- Experience preparing cash flow forecasts and provisions;
- Knowledge of posting routines and accounting entries in SAP and experience in accounts payable/receivable, billing and collections activities;
- Experience analyzing contracts; experience in projects and mergers/integrations is a plus;
- Experience with financial calculations and basic accounting, tax and fiscal concepts;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- Experience with controls and process management;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio for process mapping/management;
- Knowledge of the telecommunications market;
- Proficient English (for international services);
- Bachelor's degree completed: Economics, Accounting, Statistics or related quantitative field (STEM);
- Fluent English
