About the role
- Senior Linux System Engineer developing and maintaining Linux server infrastructure for Th. Geyer GmbH. Collaborating on ERP systems and CI/CD processes while ensuring system performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Betrieb und Weiterentwicklung unserer zentralen Linux-Serverlandschaft RHEL, Rocky, CentOS: inklusive Monitoring, Troubleshooting und Performance-Optimierung.
- Technischer Betrieb: Integration unserer ERP-Systeme auf Linux (z. B. abas ERP) in Zusammenarbeit mit den Fachbereichen.
- Aufbau und Pflege der Linux-VM-Infrastruktur innerhalb unserer OpenShift-Plattform: Mitgestaltung als Product Owner für diesen Bereich.
- Entwicklung, Pflege und Überwachung von CI/CD- und GitOps-Pipelines: für Linux- und Container-Services (z. B. ArgoCD).
- Standardisierung und Automatisierung: von Provisionierung und Konfiguration (z. B. Ansible).
- Umsetzung eines strukturierten Patchmanagements: RHEL Satellite.
- Mitarbeit an Security- und Compliance-Themen: z. B. Härtung, Vulnerability-Management, Audits zusammen mit unserer IT-Security.
Requirements
- Abgeschlossene IT-Ausbildung oder Studium bzw. vergleichbare Berufserfahrung
- Mindestens 2-5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Linux-Systemadministration und im Betrieb von Produktivumgebungen
- Praxiserfahrung mit Containern und der Bereitstellung von Linux-VMs in OpenShift oder vergleichbaren Plattformen (Kubernetes, OKD)
- Erfahrung mit CI/CD, GitOps und Automatisierungstools (z. B. Ansible, Jenkins, Argo CD)
- Idealerweise Kenntnisse im Betrieb von ERP-Systemen auf Linux oder vergleichbaren Business-Applikationen
- Interesse daran Standards im Systembetrieb mitzugestalten
