About the role

  • Project Manager handling external proposal development for Thermo Fisher Scientific. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) and Requests for Information (RFI’s).

Responsibilities

  • Manages the external proposal development process
  • Works closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Shared Services
  • Leads completion of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) and Requests for Information (RFI’s)
  • Provides assistance with presentations
  • Provides project management expertise and acts as the focal point for the team
  • Conducts the 'first-pass' of each proposal
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of responses
  • Coaches team members and tracks issue resolutions

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Must have experience with developing and responding to proposals
  • Strong experience in project management and business process deployment & implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions for complex problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio, Project Management software
  • Seismic proficiency a plus
