About the role
- Data Security Support Analyst providing operational support for Phoenix Group’s Data Loss Prevention service. Engaging in incident management and working closely with Data Security Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line operational support for Phoenix Group’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) service.
- Be the first point of contact for alerts and incidents, performing triage, initial investigation, and escalation where required.
- Monitor DLP alerts across Microsoft Purview and related platforms.
- Perform L1 triage: validate alerts, gather context, and escalate to engineers when needed.
- Document incidents accurately for compliance and audit purposes.
- Support routine operational tasks such as policy checks, reporting, and basic configuration under guidance.
- Assist with user queries related to data security policies and processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting enhancements.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and training sessions to build technical capability.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in cybersecurity and data protection with willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) – technical training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills for clear incident documentation and stakeholder interaction.
- Exposure to security concepts or recognised frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, or ISF Standard of Good Practice).
- Basic understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) or similar technologies.
