About the role

  • Data Security Support Analyst providing operational support for Phoenix Group’s Data Loss Prevention service. Engaging in incident management and working closely with Data Security Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line operational support for Phoenix Group’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) service.
  • Be the first point of contact for alerts and incidents, performing triage, initial investigation, and escalation where required.
  • Monitor DLP alerts across Microsoft Purview and related platforms.
  • Perform L1 triage: validate alerts, gather context, and escalate to engineers when needed.
  • Document incidents accurately for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Support routine operational tasks such as policy checks, reporting, and basic configuration under guidance.
  • Assist with user queries related to data security policies and processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting enhancements.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and training sessions to build technical capability.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in cybersecurity and data protection with willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) – technical training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear incident documentation and stakeholder interaction.
  • Exposure to security concepts or recognised frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, or ISF Standard of Good Practice).
  • Basic understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) or similar technologies.
