About the role

  • Back End Software Engineer building solutions for maritime data processing. Working with a multidisciplinary team in a hybrid environment for the Signal Ocean Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust solutions for the highly entrepreneurial domain of shipping.
  • Collaborate closely with data science, design, product, and business analysis professionals.
  • Build high-quality digital solutions using C#, .NET Core, and other technologies.
  • Contribute across product discovery, delivery, optimization, QA, DevOps, and Continuous Integration.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of C# development experience building real-world web applications of medium-to-large scale and complexity, preferably within .NET Core.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MSSQL, MongoDB) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework, Dapper).
  • Practical knowledge of cloud environments, ideally Microsoft Azure.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Positive, collaborative approach to work and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English (company’s working language).
  • Familiarity with Agile practices, project management toolchains (e.g. JIRA).
