Financial Accountant responsible for accurate financial records and reporting at The Mission Group. Collaborating with senior stakeholders and supporting audit processes within a diverse global finance team.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple group companies, in line with reporting deadlines (local currency and GBP).
Analyse monthly results and investigate variances.
Review and validate foreign exchange accounting entries.
Build strong working relationships with senior management teams, providing financial insight and support.
Review profitability reports to ensure income and costs are accurately recorded and aligned with expectations.
Line manage and support the development of one team member, including reviewing their work and performance against objectives.
Prepare quarterly VAT returns and equivalent submissions for overseas subsidiaries.
Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
Support the external audit process, including preparation of required data.
Requirements
Fully qualified ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA accountant, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present and discuss financial information with senior stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines.
Good working knowledge of Excel.
Experience with Sage Intacct (or similar systems) is beneficial.
