About the role
- Embedded Software Architect defining and implementing radio product architecture for Thales. Collaborating within the Radio Product Department on tactical, airborne, and naval systems deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Join the Radio Product Department (DRA), responsible for the design, delivery management and IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification) of radio products
- Design embedded real-time software architectures
- Define and size the required hardware resources
- Address hardware constraints (SWaP) and information security requirements
- Develop and maintain architectural diagrams, design documents and product/system specifications
- Monitor development activities to ensure they meet the performance targets and allocations defined during upstream engineering phases
Requirements
- Master's degree / engineering degree (Bac+5 equivalent)
- Minimum 8 years' experience in defining embedded real-time software architectures and/or in the technical coordination of development teams
- Experience in radio communications
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) modeling experience
- Strong knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle
- Familiarity with radio software and hardware architectures
