- Establishment, implementation and continuous development of the EHS management system (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Ensure compliance with German and European EHS regulations (e.g., ArbSchG, BImSchG) as well as OSHA and EPA requirements in the USA
- Conduct hazard assessments, risk analyses and audits
- Investigate accidents and near-misses and derive corrective and preventive actions
- Serve as primary contact for authorities, certifiers and internal stakeholders
- Develop and deliver EHS training and emergency drills
- Advise management and oversee external contractors
Requirements
- Degree in engineering or a natural science
- 5–8 years' experience in EHS management, preferably in an industrial/technical environment
- Strong knowledge of German EHS legislation
- Experience with audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Strong communication skills in German and English
- Structured, independent and assertive working style
- Qualified Occupational Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
- ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 auditor qualification
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations (USA)
