About the role

  • Senior Managing Director, Development managing donor relationships and fundraising strategies for Teach For America. Leading a team to achieve development goals and cultivate high-potential donors.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and managing a portfolio of donors in local communities
  • Partner with Executive Directors, regional advisory board members, and other front-line fundraisers to maximize giving
  • Raise $5-10 million or more from high-potential donors
  • Mentor or manage other development staff members, providing guidance and problem solving support

Requirements

  • At least 10+ years of related experience in highly complex development and fundraising context
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding ambitious goals as a donor portfolio manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strongly preferred: Fundraising certification (i.e. CRFE/CRFM or the equivalent) and/or related Master’s Degree (e.g. MBA, M, Non-Profit Management)
