Responsibilities
The Data Scientist II is responsible for collecting data and using wide range of data science techniques, including but not limited to data wrangling, profiling and visualization, statistical inference, to uncover actionable insights or build analytics solutions that guide decision making and strategic planning.
Resolve outstanding data issues and create innovative solutions
Conduct ongoing data mining to ensure artifacts provide value, including root cause variance analysis
Work autonomously within a specialized business management function and may provide work direction to others
Provide seasoned specialized knowledge, advice and/or guidance to various stakeholders and team members
Undertake and complete a variety of complex projects and initiatives requiring specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross functional processes within own area of expertise
Requirements
Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science)
Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience, or; 3+ years of relevant experience
SQL Developer
Python
Previous AML/Sanctions Screening experience is preferred but not mandatory
Degree in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, data analytics, etc.)
Some experience navigating large data sets and ability to extrapolate technical/complex issues
Hands-on experience in developing SQL relational tables, OLAP cubes, data marts
Ability to manage and optimize database and data warehouse systems
Critical thinking, analytical thinking, attention to detail, integrity
