- Data Analyst supporting ongoing Department of Defense programs in Dayton, Ohio area. Engage in data visualization, analytics, and collaboration with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze datasets using SQL and relational database systems.
- Create clear, impactful data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau to communicate trends and findings.
- Utilize Python (pandas or polars, matplotlib) for data cleaning, transformation, statistical analysis, and automation.
- Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to define analytical requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify operational patterns and performance metrics relevant to mission objectives.
- Ensure compliance with DoD data security and privacy standards throughout all analytics processes.
Requirements
- Active DoD Security Clearance or held within the last 12 months.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SQL and relational databases.
- 5+ years of Tableau experience for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Working knowledge of Python, specifically pandas or polars for data analysis and matplotlib for visualizations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting DoD or federal government data initiatives (preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) (preferred).
