About the role
- Cloud DevOps Engineer II developing cloud-based solutions for defense technology company EXPANSIA. Leading integration methodologies and implementing effective strategies for system performance improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategy and integration methodology around design, development and implementation of cloud-based solutions
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
- Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
- Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
- Enable quick development and release of changes and bug-fixes on an as-required basis
- Incorporate feedback from developers/users
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems
- Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in DevOps, IT operations, cloud engineering, or software development
- Extensive experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including their DevOps tools and services
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Advanced scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification
- At least one cloud certification
