About the role

  • Circularity Manager driving sustainability initiatives in Harman’s automotive division. Understanding global legislation and collaborating with teams towards excellence in circular economy practices.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and monitor global legislation, industry and customer requirements in regards to circularity, recycled content and end-of-life strategies
  • Drive the circularity strategy for the Automotive division and coordinate execution in line with corporate and divisional goals, industry requirements and customer trends
  • Establish and maintain best in class product recycled content methodology/life-cycle-assessment capabilities and oversee integration of circularity into strategic business planning
  • Drive circularity initiatives in the functions and work collaboratively with the product development and operations teams in implementing, measuring, and tracking the implementation
  • Support customer teams to make sure that products being proposed for customer quotes are complying with sustainability and circularity guidelines
  • Add value to business development by helping to position Harman’s automotive sustainability strategy as a key differentiator in customer quotes and proposals, and ensuring alignment with customer sustainability strategy
  • Serve as advisor, business partner and link directly supporting the business unit and functional leaders on circularity initiatives, goals and methodology
  • Represent automotive sustainability with external initiatives such as industry collaboration forums and customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in either Environmental, Engineering or other related fields
  • +5 years professional experience in large, multinational, complex companies in automotive/electrical manufacturing sector driving circularity metrics and programs
  • Deep expertise on circularity strategies, methods, KPIs and regulations
  • Experience translating circularity requirements into actionable recommendations for product development, manufacturing, supply chain and aftersales
  • Strong project management skills with cross-functional approach
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with partners and peers at all levels of the organization
  • Expert problem solver with the ability to identify and triage data issues to drive tactical solutions
