About the role
- Team leader in finance managing a nine-person team in accounting for a well-established medium-sized company in Germany. Ensuring accurate financial reporting and collaborating with various departments for optimal processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and organizational leadership for a nine-person financial accounting team
- Ensure proper accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), including monthly and annual financial statements
- Ensure smooth processes and perform account reconciliations
- Work closely with adjacent departments and stakeholders
- Continuously optimize accounting structures, processes, and systems
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities
- Deliver decision-relevant financial information and actively support management on business and financial matters
Requirements
- Experience in corporate financial management or commercial controlling desirable
- Solid knowledge of relevant commercial and financial topics
- Strong MS Office skills; experience with SAP and DATEV is a plus; high IT affinity
