About the role

Responsibilities

  • Professional and organizational leadership of the financial accounting team of 30 employees (m/f/d)
  • Ensure smooth operation of all accounting processes
  • Overall responsibility for proper and legally compliant accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Active involvement in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Ensure reliable closing results and perform account reconciliations
  • Close coordination with related departments
  • Drive continuous improvement and development of accounting structures, workflows and systems
  • Serve as the primary contact for tax advisors, auditors and authorities
  • Ensure professional and transparent communication and timely provision of all relevant documentation
  • Collaborate with Controlling and executive management to provide decision-relevant financial information

Requirements

  • Initial professional experience in an auditing or consulting firm
  • Professional experience in the commercial/financial management of companies desirable
  • Solid knowledge of relevant commercial and financial subjects
  • Strong MS Office skills; SAP and DATEV knowledge advantageous; high IT affinity
  • Independent and structured working style; reliability
  • Confident demeanor and strong communication skills
  • Hands-on mentality
