About the role

  • Accountant managing hotel bookkeeping for JUFA Hotels in Graz or remote. Responsible for accounting from daily operations to month-end closing.

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing hotel accounting for assigned properties (AT/DE/LI)
  • Accounts receivable (including e-invoices, open-item reconciliation, dunning)
  • Accounts payable (posting, approval workflow, cost centers, open-item management)
  • Bank and cash postings
  • Voucher/gift certificate administration
  • Reconciliation of clearing accounts (credit cards, deposits, online payments)
  • Organizing payment transactions
  • Processing refunds
  • Accounting for local/tourist taxes
  • Month-end closing: inventory postings & plausibility checks, preparation of VAT returns (UVA)
  • Support for year-end closing (provisions, ensuring proper bookkeeping)
  • Communication & service: point of contact for hotels and suppliers
  • Resolving discrepancies/deposits
  • Regular communication with locations to ensure transparency

Requirements

  • Commercial education (apprenticeship, HAK or equivalent)
  • Strong affinity for numbers
  • Precise and structured working style
  • Experience with BMD NTCS and routine use of MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Basic understanding of hotel and payment systems is an advantage
  • Enjoyment of service and collaboration with hotels
  • Clear, respectful communication in German (English is an advantage)
