- Engineer I responsible for modern endpoint management and zero trust solutions at Syneos Health. Supporting cross-platform workstations and enhancing user-driven support in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage solutions for both Windows (physical and virtual) and Mac workstations
- Support a healthy device posture and operation throughout the workstation lifecycle
- Instrumental in the transition from traditional on-premises, domain-based compute to modern, cloud-managed endpoints
- Develop self-service scripts that enhance user-driven support and remediation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of workstation solutions into developing zero trust environment
- Analyze and resolve production issues related to endpoint devices
- Develop, facilitate, and maintain product support materials including run books and knowledge bases
- Make recommendations for improving the software lifecycle process and complete process improvement activities
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant professional work experience in a large-scale environment (15,000+ endpoints)
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with some relative experience
- Deep understanding of multiple OS platforms (Windows, MacOS)
- Proven experience with cloud-based modern device management solutions (Intune, Tanium, Jamf Pro)
- Ability to create, maintain and test configuration profiles, Autopilot deployment profiles & remediation scripts
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Strong understanding of zero trust security principles
- Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
- Working knowledge of modern Microsoft offerings (M365, AVD, Azure) is preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Tanium Certified Professional, Jamf Certified Associate) are a plus
- Experience managing or supporting non-persistent multisession VDI solutions and DEX tools
- Functional experience in the healthcare domain and clinical applications is a plus
