About the role
- VP-Analytics driving insights through analytics in Home Specialty & Merchant Experience at Synchrony. Leading a team to deliver actionable insights for profitable growth and optimizing business value.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and hands-on analytic support to the Home Specialty & Merchant Experience teams
- Handle day to day analytic requests for Home Specialty clients & Merchant Experience team
- Lead strategic/complex analytics projects for H&A platform
- Manage, coach and develop a team of 4 analytics professionals
- Formulate strategy and action plan to recruit, retain and develop analytic talent
- Develop & apply advanced analytics to optimize business outcomes
- Drive internal initiatives, perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in building analytics to drive strategy with positive outcomes and measuring impact
- Minimum 6 years of experience in managing people, developing talent, providing & receiving constructive feedback
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on SQL and SAS programming experience
- Strong credit card P&L expertise
- Strong analytical skills, including coding, Tableau, and working with diverse data sources
- Familiarity with statistical methods and tools such as decision trees, regression, segmentation, NLP, and GPT
- Advanced development of dashboards and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of targeting and segmentation
- Ability to manage and coordinate progress across multiple large projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in matrix organization, make and enable data driven decisions
