About the role
- Senior Fund Accountant managing SPV and fund clients throughout investment vehicle lifecycle. Supporting complex transactions and providing critical internal team assistance in a fast-growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage post-closing events for Sydecar’s SPV and Fund+ products including transfers of interest, conversions, and realizations
- Serve as an escalation contact for other members of the Customer Experience team as they encounter complex investment structures
- Provide exceptional customer service as you lead onboarding calls with newly-signed fund customers, and manage the relationship on an ongoing basis
- Assist with quarterly management fee payments and prepare financial reporting packages for fund clients and investors
- Ensure standardization across the team by developing thoughtful, repeatable standard operating procedures
- Prepare and review distribution calculations
- Set up and review payments to companies and investors
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Fund Accountant position
- Strong understanding of venture capital/private equity structures and operations.
- Proficiency in US GAAP
- Exceptional attention to detail, process driven, and highly organized, with an eye for process/product improvement
- Strong communication skills with a passion for client service and creating positive customer experiences.
- High proficiency with Excel
- Experience working in a technology-driven organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
