About the role

  • Technical Facility Manager overseeing building technology and compliance with regulations in Potsdam. Focused on maintenance, sustainability, and project management in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Property monitoring: Ensuring the operation of building systems and technical equipment while taking economic and ecological objectives into account.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant technical regulations (e.g., standards, ordinances) as well as applicable environmental, health, occupational safety and fire protection requirements.
  • Participation in organizing winter services, including procurement/provision of required work and consumable materials and on-call duties.
  • Maintenance & servicing: Planning, implementation, supervision and documentation of maintenance, inspection, repair and conversion measures using SAP PM.
  • Ensuring the appropriate handling of faults and emergencies.
  • Coordination of colleagues' tasks in building services/technical building systems.
  • Coordination of external service providers: Management and oversight of external contractors.
  • Renovation and modernization measures: Management of projects on buildings and technical systems.
  • Energy management (building systems): Analysis of energy consumption data, definition of consumption targets, and data maintenance in the CAFM system/SAP PM.
  • Budget and cost control: Assistance with financial plans and budget monitoring.
  • Procurement procedures: Preparation of specifications, obtaining quotes and participation in tender processes.
  • Quality assurance: Participation in acceptance procedures and warranty tracking.
  • Optimization: Introduction of sustainable technologies, improvement of maintenance processes and ensuring up-to-date technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Completed technical training (e.g., electronics technician for operational technology, plant mechanic for sanitary/heating/air-conditioning (SHK), mechatronics technician) or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional experience in technical facility management, property management or building services engineering.
  • Further qualifications such as Certified Facility Manager (Fachwirt Facility Management), master craftsman (Meister) or technician are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ideally experience with CAFM systems.
  • Experience managing maintenance measures (ensuring cost and schedule control).
  • Basic knowledge of VOB, HOAI and relevant standards is desirable.
  • Organizational skills and a structured approach to work.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Team player with a confident demeanor.
