About the role
- Quality Assurance Engineer ensuring exceptional performance and reliability for Swiss Re's Life & Health Actuarial Reserving platforms. Collaborating with teams to implement robust testing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with product owners, requirements engineers and subject matter experts to understand the functionality
- Define test strategies and perform hands-on testing of applications, integrations, and data pipelines
- Investigate and resolve defects, production issues, and data inconsistencies in collaboration with development teams
- Participate in QA Testing, Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and obtain business sign-off for test items
- Contribute to and help enforce automated testing practices and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ Years experience in IT, with exposure to quality assurance
- Prior experience in Database & UI Testing
- Proficiency in SQL is a must
- Strong knowledge of SDLC processes and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Converting business requirements to Test Scenarios & Test Cases
- Ability to analyze complex systems and develop effective testing strategies
- Ability to communicate the Testing results to wider stakeholders
- Quality-driven mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in global environments
- Knowledge of Test Management & Defect Tracking tools like JIRA
