About the role
- Product Actuary specializing in Experience Studies for Swiss Re’s Life and Health business. Analyzing portfolio performance and supporting key stakeholders in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data in R across products and markets to assess portfolio performance and emerging trends
- Develop and maintain experience studies that support best estimate assumptions and valuation inputs
- Ensure data quality and consistency across studies and reporting frameworks
- Collaborate cross-functionally with pricing, valuation, client markets, and portfolio steering teams to align insights
- Promote and share findings clearly to stakeholders and decision-makers
- Participate in global initiatives to harmonize experience analysis practices and share insights across regions
- Ensure compliance with global experience governance standards, methods, and process requirements
Requirements
- Qualified actuary with 2-7 years of experience in either L&H reinsurance or primary insurance
- Prior experience with Python and/or R
- Understanding and knowledge of L&H insurance products
- Strong documentation and governance mindset
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to present and discuss results with clients and internal stakeholders
- Written and verbal proficiency in English is required
- Additional languages like German, French, Italian, Dutch or any other European languages are an asset
