Responsibilities
Partner with actuary to learn how to complete rate indications, pricing factor development, state filing support, live testing of pricing changes and how to monitor results
Learn how to form reserve opinion from claims data and communicate results to key stakeholders
Develop technical acumen through coding new models in Python and SQL
Monitor key business metrics and recommend changes to enhance sophistication of the rating plan
Perform ad hoc analyses as needed by the team
Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or other quantitative field
Enthusiasm for learning and asking questions
Ability to communicate to a non-technical audience
Passion for problem solving and strong analytical skills
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-growing environment
