About the role

  • Group Procurement Manager developing and implementing procurement strategies at St Vincent's Health Australia. Leading initiatives to optimize value and support frontline services across various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a group-wide strategy that optimises value for money while championing ethical and socially responsible sourcing.
  • Lead the evolution of our non-clinical landscape by partnering with Group Executives, Divisional Finance Teams, and clinical advisors to influence positive change and achieve procurement objectives.
  • Own the annual procurement plan, identifying and delivering savings that directly support our frontline services.
  • Take the lead on critical reporting for Modern Slavery and our Reconciliation Action Plan.
  • Foster a high-performance culture, mentoring your direct reports and scaling the team’s strategic influence across St Vincent’s.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated professional experience in similar roles with a deep understanding of category management and complex contract negotiations across multiple sites.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to various stakeholders at all levels and to navigate niche, complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable procurement insights.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Health, or a related field.
